State of Arkansas Japan Office

Hideichiro Chikahiro is the director of the State of Arkansas Japan Office. Formerly president of Hino Motors Manufacturing USA, Inc., Mr. Chikahiro helps recruit businesses to Arkansas, assists Japanese companies already based in the state, and identifies trade opportunities. He is using his many contacts throughout Japan to help Arkansas form lasting business relationships.

A native of Japan, Mr. Chikahiro has a degree in economics from Kanagawa University. While at Hino Motors Ltd., he gained extensive experience working in the marketing department at the company's Middle East, Africa and Europe operations before joining the North America Department. While in the Middle East, he led local dealerships to promote sales of HINO trucks and busses in such markets as Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Algeria, Turkey, South Africa, Ireland and Portugal.
